About The Event
Do you want to know if your house existed in 1779? 1845? 1853?
- Curious about your neighborhood and what was there before anything was built?
- Do you want to know what the great swamp was like in 1868? You may be surprised!
- Or do you just like to look at old maps?
A short presentation about the Societies map collection will be given by Society President Guy Roshto who will open the event.
Then, you are welcome to discover where you live in this hands-on event showcasing maps from 1740 through present day. Helpers from the Society will be on hand to assist you.
The Historical Society Archive room will also be open in during the event. Please stop in and say hello to the Archivist!
