ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION: Screened full-length facade
porch with pier supports and wide entablature.
Two-bay, two story addition to east side of house
and to rear. Gable end returns.
House faces south on a hillside. Large gambrel-roofed barn with shiplap siding in good condition. Board and batten shed and clapboard outbuildings also in good condition. Two other frame outbuildings and silo in ruins. SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT
This farmhouse is noted in the 1868 Atlas as the property of C. Boyle. In 1887 it was owned by the Cooper family. Both the Boyles and Coopers were early and prolific settlers of the area.
