SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT
Nicholas Thomas was a carpenter of the late 19th century. He operated Long Hill Township's first lumberyard and millwork shop on the property. Thomas was active in the Millington Fire Company and is said to have housed horses for the fire company in his barn. Only three families have owned this home during its first 100 years. Gwendolyn Thomas, daughter of Nicholas Thomas who built the Millington Fire House and All Saints' Episcopal Church, lived here until the mid-1980's.
