Unpaved road lined with trees. SIGNIFICANCE & HISTORICAL INFORMATION The banked portion of the house was built in the 1730's by early settler Solomon Boyle. He built a gristmill, sawmill, and forge at this site. The foundations of a mill remain across the river. The group of mills is said to have given the village of Millington its name. In the mid-19th century an addition was made to the house which then served as Millington's general store and post office for many years.
