Shopping center located 200 yards to west. SIGNIFICANCE & HISTORICAL INFORMATION Bay Avenue, Poplar Avenue and cross streets Magnolia, Laurel, and Cedar avenues were laid out as the Lackawanna Farms subdivision in the 1920s. The subdivision covered the former Worth-Fowler dairy farm. Lackawanna Farms was envisioned as a development of modest homes, mostly in the popular Craftsman styles, set in large lots to allow for gardening. The depression, and the farm's out-of-the-way location conspired to thwart development. This house is one of the few actually constructed, and certainly the most architecturally interesting. The original owners remain in residence (1986).
