Situated on small hill slope. When Valley Road was widened in 1968, the fieldstone wall was constructed. This saved the catalpa tree and keeps the house, which used to have a front walk to the street, from sliding onto the roadway. 20th century frame 3 car garage at rear.
Residential on north side of Valley Road. Condos and school on south side. The traffic has increased greatly in the last 10 years. Was part of an orchard that went south to the Passaic River.
Occupied in the 19th century by members of the Cornish family, early and prolific settlers of Passaic Township.
