ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION: Front: half-timbered gable
ornament over projecting stained glass bay window,
third story with barge board and center porch
below. Porch has two Jeffersonian style windows and
faceted lead door. Hip roofed porch with simple
supports. East Side: two story bay windows with
stick work, and large board and gable
roof.
Large corner lot, house set well back from both roads. Naturalized wooded areas with gazebo, and period flowers and shrubs. Stone wall edging driveway. Fruit and vegetable gardens in west and back yards
Formerly used as library for townspeople. Exterior and interior details, especially woodwork makes for a well maintained and detailed example of the Dutch Victorian Queen Anne style popular in the last 1800's. Chimney design in wish bone shape, especially interesting interior detail.
