They make up the core of the village of Gillette. Eldridge & Steele Antiques (1986): 2 1/2 story gable end facade banked into Hillside, stucco first floor, shingles above. First floor storefront under pent roof. 496 Valley Road: Four Square 491 Valley Road: Very dilapidated frame 19th century building 500(?) Valley Road: Bungalow 520 Valley Road: (former school?) Jenkin head gable roof, clapboard siding, 1/1 sash, enclosed porch on gable end. 522 Valley Road: ca. 1950s builder's Cape Cod. 560 Valley Road: radically altered Italianate style, stone addition encloses original porch, cross gable on facade with round window. 561 Valley Road: Colonial revival cottage ca. 1940, center entry, 6/6 sash, one story additions flank building.
