House sited with deep setback surrounded and faced by open yard. Original barn and outbuildings demolished; concrete garage to back of property. SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT
On low-lying open fields just south of Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge.
SIGNIFICANCE & HISTORICAL INFORMATION The owner of the house speculates that the building may have been moved. This is confirmed by the absence of any indication of a structure at this location on the 19th century maps. Stylistically, the house appears to have been constructed in the mid-19th century.
